Bluffdale sits at the foot of the Traverse Mountains at the southern tip of the Salt Lake Valley. Bluffdale is conveniently situated about 20 miles from Salt Lake City, and about 20 miles from Provo. Characteristics that make Bluffdale particularly inviting to residents include the Jordan River which runs through the middle of the City and a rural agrarian lifestyle. Businesses find the City attractive because the City is bounded by Interstate 15 on the west, Bangerter Highway on the North and has a major rail corridor through the middle of the City.
